Car Review: Prepping for the Nappiversary Mitsubishi Mirage Style!
We had a new temporary addition to the family this week as we began party planning! I got the amazing opportunity to test drive the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage ES in kiwi green. Yes, I said it! Kiwi green! This was my very first time driving Mitsubishi.
I immediately took to Instagram for us to formally name her for the next 7 days. From lettuce pray to Ecola the economy car; let's go with Lima Bean! I absolutely fell in love with this car throughout the past 7 days. Even though the Atlanta rain wasn't in coordination, I did manage to run a lot of party planning errands for our 2015 2nd Annual Nappiversary online party! Lima Bean was so courteous at the pump, I wouldn't even have to spend more than $4 to fill her back up from a half tank at current gas prices.
I managed to get around town easily burning no more than 45 mpg average on each trip. Lima Bean definitely came just in time as you guys know party planning in itself can definitely get expensive; it was such a convenience to save more at the pump and not even have to worry about the gas running out quickly as I do with my mom's Chevy Malibu.
Let me tell you; Lima Bean is such a trickster! She looks extremely small and compact on the outside but contrary to popular belief she has the feel of an actual sedan on both the driver and passenger side with tons of legroom, elbow space and comfort convenience options! Compared to my Nissan Versa; I must say she is a lot more heavier and gives off an extremely average sedan feel with its average steering wheel sizing and stability even during the terribly stormy days. I definitely wasn't reminded of how small the car was compared to the constant blowing and instability of my Nissan versa on windy days.
Let's gets to the fun specs now! Lima Bean has so many convenience package options; you can actually make this car as modern as you would like depending on your budget of course. With today's new technology many of these features definitely comes in handy! From the rear backup cam, DVD input, touch screen, push to start, GPS and Bluetooth capabilities this 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage can be the closest thing to an actual luxury Sedan without the price tag or constant sacrifices at the pump!
One of my favorite features has to be the key-less trunk release. I am always on the go. Whether I have my entire train case for cosmetology, picking up groceries for mom while she's away at chemotherapy or party planning with tons of p.o box packages; the very last thing I like to do is fiddle around looking for a key. Mitsubishi outdid themselves with this key-less entry featuring a handy button to unlock your car doors and access your trunk within a few inches away from the car. The trunk space is incredible as well!
The 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage ES is marketed towards college students and grads which I can totally see why with its modern features & savings all in one! Definitely be sure to at least give this car a test drive If you ever have a chance. You'll see exactly what I mean when it comes to the Sedan-like drive.
Which color way would you pick?
I'd have go with the gorgeous sapphire blue or vibrant kiwi green. As bright as she was, it was so easy to spot her in the ever so crowded Walmart parking lot and she definitely brightened my day during the cold stormy weather!
The 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage has a MSRP starting at $12,995 (pre- convenience package) backed with a 10-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty; super affordable!
FTC: I was given this car to review for test drive purposes and my honest opinion.
