Cropped Tops, Cowls and a Pop of Color!

Burr, has it gotten chilly out here!
Time to bring out your winter gloves, leather boots and cozy jackets. But who says we cant rock fall clothing in the middle of the winter?

Fall/Winter is the perfect time to begin layering. No need to pack away those cropped tops or short sleeved shirts!

Today's look has been sponsored by the lovely team over at POPSUGAR for their mew design of the ShopStyle community. I was selected to be a part of the We Search. We Find. We ShopStyle.

If you haven't already heard; ShopStyle is getting a new look, you'll be seeing a lot of commercials and even some cool campaign images at local NYC taxi stops! Pretty dope right?

I was so excited to be selected to be a part of this campaign along with a few other selected bloggers t create my own lay down very similar to the images promoted throughout the professional ads. I love using ShopStyle to find my natural hair products as well as deals and flash sales all in one place!

So I was sent a beautiful campaign t shirt, as featured in the image below, as well as a backdrop.

I have a new found respect for photographers as it was little difficult to get the right lighting and include all of the items. haha!

So here's what I picked out from my closet:

Chocolate and Gold Timberland Boots
YCAF Crochet infinity scarf/Cowl- handmade by me.
Navy and Pink Abercrombie & Fitch Cropped Sweater
YCAF Pacman chain reaction earrings-handmade by me

On Me
Ralph Lauren Tank Top in Black
We Shop Style Tshirt (provided to me)
Forever 21 white leggings
YCAF Mellow Yellow infinity scarf- handmade by me

As a Brooklyn/ Kansas City Native, I have adapted to the chilly if not below zero freezing winter morning and warm afternoons. Talk about bipolar weather! What I like to do is layer clothing and accessories, so that when the weather starts to warm up, I can simply go from bundled and cozy to warm and fun!
Cowl and infinity scarves are definitely a staple this season. It can easily add a pop of color and even some warmth to any outfit!

What are your fall/winter fashion staples?

Do what you love, Love what you do!
