Do You Need A DSLR Camera For Youtube Beauty Blogging?
Boy has the YouTube beauty blogging world changed! In a matter of just a few years I went from filming on my school mini laptop webcam to filming in my bathroom on a simple point and shoot camera. Now I find myself browsing through camera lenses and learning about professional photography tips and tricks!
The importance of great content and premium quality goes hand in hand when it comes to intricate videos such as beauty blogging. Whether you're filming your favorite smokey eye tutorial or a perfectly defined twist out, beautiful close-ups and great lighting are the key tools to an awesome video!
I've been blessed with a new camera for Christmas, my very first SLR camera. Released in January of this year the Canon T5 was definitely a bestseller this holiday season and rated as a great entry level camera for beginners in the photography world. I'm so excited to finally get my hands on one! I definitely have no idea how to even set up the Aperture or specifics but I've definitely been spending a lot of time on YouTube figuring things out haha!
I thought I'd pop in with a few samples of photos I've taken with my kit lens which comes standard with the Canon EOS Rebel T5 Digital SLR 18MP Camera with 18-55mm and 75-300mm Lenses which I haven't tried as of yet.
With growth comes increase. With increase comes demand. I mention this to say, you have to start somewhere. If you've been wanting to start a YouTube channel for quite sometime now, what's stopping you? In this day and age phone qualities are getting just as good as a digital camera. Mount that camera up and begin filming! If you're passionate about it, you will naturally attract viewers of similar interest which puts you in a position of increase. Then you can start to look at ways to upgrade your equipment. Upgrade your content. But last but not least, with increase comes the pressure of life and demand. Imagine a channel of 100,000 subscribers patiently awaiting your next upload, or your camera accidentally falling and having to replace that $1,000 camera plus the lens!
Enjoy the ride, enjoy your journey and all of its obstacles along the way. Then and only then will you put yourself in a position to appreciate the small gems in your life as well as the opportunities that may come your way with passion and consistency. Love you all! Good night and enjoy my amateur photography skills lol
