Thanksgiving has come and gone. It's safe to say that the holidays are upon us; my favorite time of the year! Living in a predominately humid state, winter is pretty much short lived. Road Trips are the easiest way to get the best of both worlds and hang out with family of course! Today I'm sharing my top 5 tips to choosing the perfect road trip vehicle. No holiday hoopties this christmas!

1. FUEL ECONOMY

Top of the list is fuel economy aka the best way to get more bang for your buck at the pump! Whether you're driving cross country or taking a mini road trip, you definitely don't want your tank eating into your vacation budget. Save at the pump with a vehicle that's great on gas without sacrificing comfort. You'd be surprised how many of today's large SUV's & crossovers allow for great gas mileage with tons of leg room. Some of my favorites are the Mazda CX-9 & the Kia Sorento.
*Tip: try to stay in the 30mpg+ range for the best gas mileage!

2. ENTERTAINMENT

Let's face it, music sounds 1,000x better in the car. Pair your playlist with handsfree bluetooth connection and you've set yourself up for the most stress free road trip of all time. No more Aux cords or the daunting aux cord shortages!

3. COMFORT

Riding around with a road trip buddy? A sporty vehicle may be stylish & convenient enough to get the job done. If you're making this a family affair, you may want to opt for a larger vehicle with lots of legroom so that everyone's comfortable & satisfied for the trip. You may need a nap between pit stops to rejuvenate

4. CONVENIENCE

Blind Spot monitoring, backup camera, if you're lucky 360 camera's are a must have when renting an unfamiliar vehicle during the holidays. Renting a vehicle can be daunting knowing that the safety of someone else's vehicle is in your hands. Camera's are a great sense of security when switching lanes during heavy holiday traffic & getting a feel for the size of your temporary car.

5. STORAGE

Last but not least; the trunk! You're going to need space for luggage, leftover's of grandma's pie, & any other gifts/ trinkets you receive this year. The more trunk space the merrier!

Where are you traveling to this year? I'd love to know!
