Hair of the Day| World Natural Hair Show!
Hey loves!
I hope you all had an amazing time at the
2014 World Natural Hair Health and Beauty Show
today. I was hoping to attend the pre-show Comedy Mixer last night, but you dolls know that it was finals week and there's nothing more important when career calls haha!
I was struggling to figure out a hairstyle for the show. Originally my plan was to rock my
, but plans changed. Overall, I just wanted to go big or go home.
Contemplating between straight frizzy hair and curly hair was such a struggle. I was completely exhausted after my male and female test-outs and everything else I had to do after school. My straight hair from my birthday blowout quickly became a big frizzy poof this week with all of the humidity so I was going to work with it and embrace the frizz; after-all this is a hair-show.
Quickly after being notified of the
that I would be featured on, I decided to change my look for more of a naturalista hairstyle.
It's only right.
I opted for a side curly mo-hawk that took only 10 minutes to achieve. I was running late and decided last minute that I wanted to go for a curly wash and go look!
Thankfully; I was complimented so many times before and during the show on my quick style on the go; so I decided to snap a few pics for you dolls to see what I came up with and how I achieved this chic yet effortless look!

Current State: Straightened Hair using
+ Paul Mitchell Flat Iron
Braid one side of hair focusing the hair around the perimeter/edges
Add water and shingle Olive Oil Eco Styler Gel throughout hair to revert back to curls on opposite side
