I dont know why, but the first thing that came to mind while editing the pics for todays post was a quote from comedian Nicole Randal Johnson; "werk dat updo!" haha from her episode on MadTV- Can I get your number. I would quote this episode daily with my childhood friends!


So If you checked out my recent Fall Curly Girl Favorites video you are no stranger to this hairstyle. I decided to do a little protective styling for the winter season. I'm not sure how long this will last; you guys know the "Protective Styling Struggle" haha!


I achieved these mini twists using Aunt Jackies Curl la la as my styling product as well as refined coconut oils and my sealer for my ends. I refresh/hydrate daily using my JBCO spray bottle mixture to avoid any heavy buildup.


For the sake of "im getting a little bored with my protective style; I used 2 bobby pins to achieve an effortless updo.



I'd like to know what your favorite mini protective style of choice is: Mini Twists or Mini box braids?
