My Wash and Go Night Time Routine + Maintenance

Today I'll be showing you how I preserve my wash and go's for a minimum of 4-5 days preserving my curls for maximum longevity and of course definition. By implementing these 3 simple tips into your night time routine you'll never walk away from a good wash and go again loves!

As a naturalista we are always on the quest for the perfect curl, perfect twist-out, perfect braid-out; we've achieved the look now its time to enjoy our curl popping wash and go for next day hair. You know; that feeling of achievement when your twist-out lasts for more than 3 days or even a week!

First and foremost lets not forget the overall make-up of our kinks, curls and coils. Think of your hair as a molding clay sort of  like play dough. Our hair is so easy to sculpt and mold into any shape or form; thus making our styling options completely endless!

Twist-outs achieve "S" curls

Braid-outs- "Z"crinkle/ wavy texture

Bantu knots- "C" curls/ springy coils

When tying your wash and go down at night avoid the pineapple method!

Mold your hair into a pineapple and you'll achieve a pineapple look in the morning

Our hair naturally grows out instead of causing our hair to achieve the traditional "fro" look effortlessly! Using a bonnet or scarf; mold your hair down v.s. up.

The next morning: simply refresh with water to reactivate the existing ingredients n the product or gel of your choice. DO NOT ADD MORE PRODUCT; this will encourage stiffness and flaking throughout the day.

Fluff and avoid Frizz| DO NOT SEPARATE CURLS to eliminate frizz. Lift from the root instead for additional volume and shaping, pull existing curls that are clumped together and naturally separating apart.

There you have it, 3 simple tips that will increase your wash and go life.

You woke up like this! haha
