Haircuts and Protective Styling!
Hey chicas! I hope your weekend is going amazing so far!
I don't know about you but this week was super busy! So much to do, so little time. Last week concluded cutting week in cosmetology school. Paul Mitchell we made it, |in my drake voice| haha!
Mom's been wanting a new look for a while now, so we stopped by the beauty supply store to give a cute cut a try. My experience with beauty supply store hair hasn't been the greatest recently but its the only option available on such short notice.
We grabbed a few packs of yaki human hair, some hair color, a wig cap and some wig clips.
Mom's hair is so thick so we opted for a circle braid pattern based around her swoop bang side part. I sealed in moisture using my favorite Argan Oil from Arvazallia also previously known as ArganEsque
I was going for a Keri Hilson bob, the cut came out great! Mom was so happy with the cut but unfortunately the hair wouldn't color or curl so we had to adjust the cut to something different. We'll be trying again later with some better hair; most likely virgin hair. I was so disappointed in the hair that I forgot to take pictures of the cut but I did manage to snap a few photos of her full wig after I finished the DIY closure piece.
Have you tried any wigs or weaves for protective styling? Which brands are your favorite to work with? lets chat in the comments!
Do what you love, love what you Do!
